This Web Page is a living document. The content has been researched and collected by the author since about 1985 in his spare time.

Besides having genealogy as a hobby, you may notice that I also enjoy getting into the technological aspect of developing the web site.  This web site may not meet the sophistication of business web sites, but I like it and hope that my visitors do, too.

I initially developed and published the Frain Family Tree - Illinois Branch web site using MS FrontPage2000 on Windows95 operating system.  This version replaced the former in May, 2007.  I re-developed it using MS Expression Web on MS Vista Home Premium  operating system.  Boy!!! That was fun, ....really.  Had to learn a lot of new technology.

Much of the information is the same as was on the prior version, however, some has been reformatted and re-styled; There is some new content and there will be a continuing effort to keep the pages updated, especially, when I get contributions from visitors.

It was tested using IE7.0.  Also, I have a DSL connection to the internet and the pages load fine for me.  Hope it works on all your browsers and connections, OK.   If not, I would like to know.  Perhaps I can make changes that will accommodate your browser and/or your internet connection.

Hope you enjoy the music played on the various web pages.  Irish music was selected for the web pages about my Irish background.  Classical music is used on pages connected with my wife, Linda's, heritage.  Cajun music was selected for the maternal side of my heritage.  English Pub songs were selected for my connection to the Briddick family.  Since I didn't have any real French music, I put a Cajun French song on the page for my step family.  My step-mother's mother and father emigrated from France.

Use the music console to turn the music on and off.  You can, also, adjust or mute the volume.

Another new feature is the ability to print a page on a white background consisting mainly of text.  Page parts such as navigation are left off.  Note the 'Print this Family Information' icon on each page.  

Click on 'Contact Me' on any page to provide feedback.  I will make every effort to reply to all e-mail.  Getting and answering e-mail has been the most fun encountered while maintaining the Frain web site.
