Alva Darr and Bertha Reno

Much of the following information on the Darr family was garnered from the 1850, 1880, 1900 and 1910 U.S. Census'.

The obituaries for Alva, below, and Fred Darr (in the Fred Darr Sarah Coonrod page) were provided by my sister Marlene. Masthead and dates of publication are not available. Both were probably from Carrollton, IL newspapers. Prior census information shows Alva born Nov. 1880 and Fred born June 1864. The publishing dates may be calculated as approximately 1976 and 1951, respectively.

Included in the names and dates is information provided by The Greene County Genealogical and Historical Society in Carrollton, IL.

By 1910, Alva had married Bertha and had a daughter, Zela (or Zella). Amey had married Nellie and had a son, Lee Orville. All still lived in Greene County. Amos and Henrietta were still living in 1910.
