Richard (Richmond) Adams  is found on the 1850 census. He was a 'miller' and was married to Elizabeth.

These are the parents of Henrietta who married Amos Darr. They all lived in the same area designated on the census as between Macoupin and Apple Creeks.  . They had a very large family. It appears that it may be a composite family of some sort since one of the middle sons was born in Kentucky and all the rest were born in Ill. This may have been the second marriage for both.  Note the 2 sets of twins.

It seems possible that Elizabeth and son John W. came to Illinois from Kentucky. Her first husband may have left or died. Richmond probably lived in Illinois with the children from his first marriage. His wife may have left or died. Richmond and Elizabeth eventually married and had children of their own. One would have been Henrietta and others would have been her younger brothers Benjamin, Thomas and Alex. Ann may have been, since she was only 2 years older than Henrietta. Births prior to that appear to be from other marriages.

George Darr married Rebecca Hoffman Sep. 4, 1836 in PA.

He was born Jun. 7, 1817 in York Co. PA.  He died Nov. 9, 1911 in Marion Co., Peabody, KS.  He is buried in Dankard Cem. KS.  His fparents were John Darr and Catherine Wunbach.

She was born 1816 in PA.She died Mar. 16, 1901 McPhearson Co., McPhearson, KS.  Her parents were Phillip Hoffman and Savina Benedict.
