Frances Elizabeth Frain (daughter of Luke Frain and Marie Mottershaw) was born November 11, 1928 in Springfield Ill, and died 1998 in Springfield Ill.

She married (1) Daniel Stroisch, son of William Stroisch and Lenna Sapp.

 She married (2) Thompson.

She married (3) John Smith.

She is related to Al Capp the famous cartoon drawer for the newspaper.

Most of the Mottershaw family is buried in Pleasant Plains, IL and in Taylorville, IL.

Her mother died when she was born and her father left her with her Aunt Sara Ann Mottershaw Reed .

Luke married again and had another daughter who married a Charles Morgan.

Frances left her three children with her Aunt Sara when she was ill with TB and had to be hospitalized .
